Charleston is one of the most haunted cities in America, and locals always get excited for Halloween! There are many things that you can do to get into the Halloween Spirit in Charleston, so read on for some fun (and spooky) activities!

1.) Take a Ghost Tour

There are so many ghost tours all over Historic Downtown Charleston that take off late at night. Book your ticket online, meet up with your group, and hear real-life stories about hauntings all around Charleston! Some companies even offer "adult" tours- meaning the stories will be even scarier if your group is up to it! Another popular ghost tour in the area is one that focuses only on the old haunted jail Downtown on Magazine Street. You can even do both in one night!

2.) Dine at a Haunted Restaurant

Some of the best known eateries in Charleston are actually rumored to be haunted! Dine at Poogan's Porch on Queen Street and you may even see the ghost of Poogan himself- a dog that used to roam the spot that the restaurant is now named for.  Some guests at the restaurant say they have even felt him brush up against their legs while eating!

Another haunted restaurant is the Blind Tiger Pub on Broad Street, where many guests have reported seeing a woman dressed in all black floating around after-hours- so be on the lookout if you decide to stop in for a drink and some dinner!

3.) Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes

One of the most fun fall activities is going to a pumpkin patch! At Boone Hall in Mt. Pleasant, starting on October 1st you can enjoy their pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zoo, and a massive 7-acre cornfield! This is a great halloween activity that the whole family can enjoy, and you can finish the day by carving Jack-O-Lanterns.
