St Patricks Day Celebrations In Charleston

St. Patrick's Day has a rich history in Charleston, and after a few years of less celebrations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many favorite events are back on the calendar this year. Read on to find out about all the events happening around the city this year for St. Paddy's Day!
The St. Patrick's Day Parade that famously makes its way through downtown will begin at 10 am on Thursday, March 17th. The Parade kicks off at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (located at 134 St. Phillip Street) and makes its way down King Street and Broad Street before ending at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, located at 120 Broad Street. The parade features Fire Trucks, Irish Step Dancing and other performances, along with military units and local team mascots.
2.) King Street Bar Crawl
Gather your friends and go down to some of King Street's best bars for a bar crawl on Saturday, March 19th. Multiple bars will be having great drink specials, and tickets can be purchased online. Be sure to come dressed in your best St. Paddy's look, with lots of green!
3.) North Charleston Block Party
After a two year hiatus, the North Charleston St. Patrick's Day Block Party returns. The event will take place on Saturday, March 12th from noon to 6pm, and will feature a parade, performances, along with delicious food from local eateries as well as a mechanical bull!
