Folly Beach

Spend the day at Folly Beach, catch some sun, relax, and enjoy your day by the water. If you're planning on going a bit later, be aware the beach fills up faster than you think so plan ahead and get a spot.   Fireworks start at dark.  Don't forget the sunscreen and water!

Summerville

Historic downtown Summerville will be transformed into an Independence Day street festival. Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) will host the annual Red White & Blue on the Green. Enjoy family games, face-painting, jump castles, a watermelon eating contest, food, and more! There will also be a patriotic costume contest for the best dressed. Winners will help the mayor lead off the annual crowd favored, non-motorized parade. Prizes also for the best decorated bikes and wagons as they parade around the park. July 4th from 5:30pm-9:30pm at Gahagen Sports Complex located at 515 West Boundary St. Park at Heritage Square and take a trolley to and from the event free of charge!

North Charleston

The City of North Charleston is hosting the annual July 4th Celebration at Riverfront Park. From 3:00 to 9:00 pm.  The free fireworks celebration, presented by Zambelli Fireworks International, will take place at 9:15pm and run for about 30 minutes. Music by the North Charleston Pops will accompany the show over the Cooper River. Make sure to bring chairs and/or a blanket so you can relax and take in the show!

Mount Pleasant

The 4th of July Blast at Patriots Point is a Mount Pleasant 4th of July favorite. Named by the New York Times, “One of the Best Fourth of July Parties,” Patriots Point is full of fun for the whole family. Each year about 25,000 guests attend the celebration. Fireworks are set off from the USS Yorktown Flight Deck.  The sun is expected to set around 8:32pm.  The fireworks will begin once it is dark, which is normally by 9–9:15pm.
